The turtle hugging mermaid holds a happy turtle. She has a visible scar but holds her head in a tilt with her eyes wide open. she knows the turtle’s trust and love for her is her truest soul.
But she sees things. The turtle hovers and holds close reminding her to FEEL things.
Some days the turtle wins. Some days the turtle can’t get the mermaid past her scars.
But everyday, they keep swimming.
And in that is a practice and wisdom of mermaiding.
She is perspicacity.
