Magnificent Mahi Mahi Painted on a Fish Crate

Fish crate or crate side paintings are a fold art staple of working with what you have. When I painted the Star Fish Company Restaurant tables, I was "paid" in fish crates. I paint many things on them from mermaids to egrets to sunflowers.

But the Mahi Mahi is the most loved. This one is a bright red and the Mahi Mahi colors are more dappled than some of the previous ones.
